School Field Trips to Travelers' Rest

Each year, more than 2,500 students and teachers from Montana and beyond participate in place-based learning experiences at Travelers' Rest State Park through TRPHA's professionally taught field trip program.  They come to the Park mostly from area school classrooms, though some come from as far away as Wyoming.

About School Field Trips
Teachers may select and schedule from eight or more interdisciplinary, age-appropriate, standards-based education programs to create a field trip customized to their curriculum goals and logistical needs.  Our offerings include a guided archeology walk, traditional Native American games, nature journaling or even a teacher-led field trip.

Field Trip Cost
Education is critical to TRPHA's mission of protecting and preserving Travelers' Rest State Park and National Historic Landmark. TRPHA is committed to ensuring that our education programs remain affordable to Montana's public school teachers and students.
